ARTICLE VI.  Library Director’s Reports

Section 1.

The Library Director, or such other member of the Board as may be designated, shall submit reports to the State of Michigan as may be required by State Law, rules, or regulations.

Section 2.

On or before February 1st each year, the Library Director or such representative shall make a report to the State covering the preceding calendar year, this report shall encompass the following items:

  1. The condition of the Library fund at the end of the calendar year
  2. The amount of money received from various sources during the year, and how such monies have been expended and for what purposes
  3. The number of books and periodicals on hand
  4. The number of interlibrary loans
  5. Programming and summer reading statistics
  6. The number of persons utilizing the library facilities during the year
  7. The number of books loaned out during the year
  8. Such other statistics or information as the Board may deem of general interest

Section 3.

In addition to the information set forth in Section 2 of this Article, the Library Director or such representative shall, on or before the fourth (4th) Monday of each January, prepare  a budget containing an estimate of the amount of money necessary for the support and maintenance of the Library for the ensuing fiscal year.  Upon its review and approval by the Board, the fiscal budget shall be adopted at the subsequent February meeting.
