Section 1.
Membership of the Lawton Public Library Board shall be governed by applicable State Law.
Section 2.
The Board shall consist of (6) members elected at large from the Village of Lawton voting district by popular vote. Members shall be elected during the regular School Consolidate Selection on the first Tuesday in November of each odd-numbered year; a term of four (4) years, commencing in 2016 when three (3) are elected and continuing 2016 when three (3) are elected with the Board Members’ terms to begin on January 1 immediately following the election.
Section 3.
A vacancy on the board shall be filled pursuant to the requirements set forth in the District Library Establishment Act, Section 10 (7) 1989 Public Act 24, Michigan Compiled Laws 397.181.
